Our History

Financial Network Investment Corporation (Financial Network), based in El Segundo, California, is one of the largest independently managed broker-dealers in the United States. Founded in 1983, Financial Network has grown to include more than 2,400 financial professionals. Financial Network was founded as a 75% field owned broker-dealer firm, creating a culture of independence that remains to this day. Each of the firm’s branch offices is independently owned and operated, and is supported by the national organization. In 1984, Financial Network created the Financial Institution Division (FID), which advises, trains and supports financial institution management and their financial professionals.

In 1997, Financial Network was sold to Aetna Financial Services, and then in 2000, Aetna was acquired by ING. As of February 1, 2010, Financial Network has operated as a subsidiary of Cetera Financial Group.

Throughout its many corporate incarnations, Financial Network has remained independent, committed to client-centric services and the independent broker-dealer business.
